Carlos Ortiz is a global account management professional with extensive experience in saving money by leading multi-national teams responsible for implementing solutions on strategic sourcing, savings implementation, sourcing process improvement, organizational change and program management at multinational corporations in Oil & Gas, High Tech, Manufacturing, Services, Retail and Consumer Goods.
For the last nine years, he has also been in the forefront of SaaS implementations for electronic sourcing management, spend assessments and category management first through his involvement with FreeMarkets, Inc, in São Paulo, Brazil and more recently as a manager in the consulting practice at Ariba, Inc. in Sunnyvale, California.
Carlos has a B. S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Guayaquil, in Ecuador, and an MBA from INCAE Business School in Costa Rica. He has two sons and currently lives in Silicon Valley, California.
